Emily Kay Tillman

Emily Kay Tillman has been the proud Owner and Director of Fancy Feet Dance Studio since 1992. For over three decades she has taught thousands of students her love and passion for dance and performance. Classically trained in dance from the age of 5, Emily has studied jazz, tap and was certified in each level of Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) syllabus ballet. Emily has won numerous state and national awards for her dance performances, including Miss California of the Young American Stars and the 1991 Miss Pacific Palisades title. Her film and television credits include 'The Muppets' with Amy Adams&Jason Segel, 'Tap' starring Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr., Co-starring roles on Fox's "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", ABC's sitcom "The Hughleys", and Melissa on MTV's "Undressed". She has also starred in numerous national television commercials including Doritos, Tagamet, Hollywood Video, Sony Playstation, Pepsi, and WhiteCastle. Emily's choreography has been featured in various industry projects such as California Statewide Scholarshare , Kids for Kids with Debbie Allen, The Hughleys, It's All of Us, The Learning Curve, and numerous workshops, Master Classes, festivals, pageants, benefit concerts, and special events.
Emily believes in cultivating kindness and humility within a studio environment.  She believes in creating a strong sense of belonging and connection to community.  Emily fosters performance opportunities that will reinforce values and create memories which will stay with each dancer throughout their lifetime. She believes every dancer can make a positive impact in the community through dance.
Emily is proud that the instructors at Fancy Feet go beyond inspiring their students with their vast professional and diverse experiences by providing instructional continuity from toddler years into adulthood. Each student has the opportunity to individually tailor their dance experience.
Emily believes that dancing and performing must come from the heart and hopes to inspire every young dancer with a passion for the arts.
